The Advanced Learning Center

ALC Community Outing
About the Program
In this school area, we focus on developing and maintaining valuable life skills, communication skills, and independence in our students. This is done by encouraging self-advocacy, expression, and the use of communication devices throughout the classrooms. Along with implementing core academics, we want to prepare our Advanced Learning students to live as happily and independently as they can!

The ALC serves exceptional students ages 12-22 trough individualized education and vocational/life skills outings in the community. Students in this area receive a unique offering of core academics and life skills lessons during their school days.
Advanced Learners Spread their Wings!

Our ALC students partake in many different activities throughout the week to improve their socio-emotional and life skills. Whether it's practicing a task such as tooth brushing or learning how to take turns during a game, every lesson is curated to meet our individuals' needs and strengths! Students in this program also receive weekly therapies including speech-language, occupational, physical, and mental health counseling therapy.
